That’s perfectly exemplified in our debut episode with Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Lawrence Sher.
Lawrence is best known for his work on films like Joker, The Hangover, and the upcoming Joker: Folie á Deux.
He’s also known for creating the popular visual film reference website ShotDeck.

DiAnté Jenkins has been filmmaking in one form or another since childhood.
From drawing his first films on paper in the first grade because he didn’t have a camera to record on, to finishing high school at the age of fifteen to begin his foray into the film industry, he’s always immersed himself in the world of cinema.
Not only has DiAnté built a following on TikTok for his poignant takes on great films and the filmmakers who make them, but he’s become the ambassador for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and now host of The FILM CRUX Podcast as well.
He aims above all to be a part of the future of filmmaking, by being both at the center of its conversation, and by making his own mark on the big screen.
